The OBA Annual Meeting is a gathering point for the Oregon birding community. It is an opportunity to go birding in beautiful places, learn from charismatic guest speakers, and stay updated on OBA business. In an effort to create an event that is less likely to be impacted by the ever-changing Covid-19 landscape, and to include as many Oregon birders as possible, this year we are excited to announce a hybrid event: the Oregon Birding Weekend!

This statewide celebration of Oregon Birding starts with a weekend of field trips across the state, followed on Tuesday by a virtual Keynote Speaker and business meeting. SAVE THE DATE for these Oregon Birding Weekend events:

  • Saturday and Sunday, September 10th and 11th – Full-day and half-day field trips across the state (free for members of the OBA) including trips for beginners, trips for the LGBTQIA+ community, trips for photographers, a kayaking trip, and much more. Registration opens Friday, August 12 at 5:00 pm and closes Monday, September 5 at midnight.

  • Tuesday, September 13th – A Virtual Keynote with corvid researcher Dr. Kaeli Swift, Field Trip highlights, and Business Meeting. Details and Zoom link to come.

Happy Birding,

OBA Annual Meeting Committee
